Festival of Democracy and NGO Market at Střelecký Island on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

This year has been full of unexpected changes for all of us. Therefore, the Forum 2000 foundation is slightly changing its traditions this autumn as well. The Festival of Democracy and NGO Market will - for the first time - share the date as well as the venue.

This time we will meet on Saturday, October 10, 2020, under the open sky at Střelecký Island. The motto of the day will be ´Let´s talk together!´. And what are we going to talk about?

You will have an opportunity to ask public figures, such as academics, activists, politicians, diplomats and experts about the future of the Czech Republic, its position in the EU, its current state of democracy and the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on our everyday life.

On top of that, you will have a unique chance to meet over one hundred representatives of Czech non-profit organizations and talk to them face to face about their work, the opportunities to volunteer, the ways you can support their activities, as well as discover the purpose of the role(s) of the non-profit sector in Czech Republic, in general.

We will finish the day with a celebration of democracy – by dancing and singing at the open-air concert.
