Erika Guevara Rosas

Americas Director, Amnesty International


Erika Guevara Rosas is a human rights lawyer from Universidad de Londres in Mexico City and a well-known feminist activist who currently serves as the Americas Director at Amnesty International. She has more than 25 years of experience in social justice activism and more than fifteen years of professional experience in human rights and gender justice. Previously, Ms. Guevara Rosas served as the Regional Director for the Americas at the Global Fund for Women and served as a legal and security officer for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). She is member of various feminist and human rights movements, including the Association for Women's Rights and Development (AWID), and the Mesoamerican Feminist Network "Confluencia Petatera".
