Erika Guevara Rosas is a human rights lawyer and a well-known Latina feminist, who currently serves as the Americas Director at Amnesty International, where she leads the organization’s human rights work across the continent. She has more than twenty years of experience in social & gender justice, human rights, and philanthropy. Prior to her work at Amnesty, Erika served in different leadership roles in other non-governmental organization and international agencies, including the Global Fund for Women and the UN Refugee Agency. She has managed complex humanitarian and human rights operations in different countries. Erika has also served on the board of directors of many organizations, including the Association for Women´s Rights in Development (AWID) and the Women’s Human Rights Education Institute. Her articles and opinion pieces on human rights and politics in the Americas are frequently published in international media.
