Armando Chaguaceda

Armando Chaguaceda is a Mexican scholar, and is currently a country analyst for the University of Gothenburg project, V-Dem, about a new approach to conceptualizing and measuring democracy. His specialization is the study of the process of democratization as well as relations between government and civil society in Latin America. Since 2009, Mr. Chaguaceda has been a member of the Latin American Studies Association and of Amnesty International. Mr. Chaguaceda has taught at various universities, including Universidad de la Habana, Universidad Iberoamericana, and Universidad de Guanajuato. Mr. Chaguaceda received his Doctorate in History and Regional Studies from Universidad Veracruzana.
