Festival of Democracy is successfully over!

November 20, 2020

“Those days in Prague 31 years ago remain for me as some of the most memorable in my whole life. And one of the things that made it so memorable was the challenging of something which seemed that until then had been completely unchallengeable.“

– Steve Crawshaw

We would like to thank you for being with us at this year's extraordinary edition of Festival of Democracy. The Festival symbolically ended on the Day of Fight for Freedom and Democracy on November 17, 2020, when two online events took place in the run of the day.

First event on the role and importance of the public service media was organized in cooperation with Díky, že můžem. The second event in cooperation with British Embassy in the Czech Republic was then reflecting on the changes since 1989, especially on the dimension of environmental politics and its impact on society.

We invite you to review stream recordings of all events here.

We are happy that we managed to connect with you online and that over 50 000 of you joined us for our discussions. 15 events in cooperation with 15 of our partners took place within the framework of the Festival of Democracy and none of them would be possible without support of many more organizations and individuals. Thank you all who have been helping us to connect communities and strengthen and educate a civil society.

In case you would like to share your views and suggestions on this year’s Festival of Democracy online program, you are very welcomed to do so by filling up this questionnaire (in Czech). We are looking forward to your feedback which is crucial for us!
