Conference organized by the Forum 2000 Foundation
March 25–27, 2020, São Paulo, Brazil
On March 25-27, 2020, the Forum 2000 Foundation will organize the fifth edition of the conference Democratic Solidarity in Latin America, this time in São Paulo, Brazil. The meeting will focus on the continuing challenge of populism in Latin America, discuss the recent wave of civic protests that can serve both as an inspiration and as a warning, as well as look into the growing influence of China in the region.
The public discussion ‘Social Protests in Latin America: Causes and Consequences’ will be organized in cooperation with Fernando Henrique Cardoso Foundation and FGV São Paulo Law School on March 27. Registration to the public discussion will open on Monday, March 2!

Del 25 al 27 de marzo de 2020, la Fundación Forum 2000 organizará la quinta edición de la conferencia Solidaridad Democrática en América Latina, esta vez en São Paulo, Brasil. La reunión se centrará en el desafío continuo del populismo en América Latina, discutirá sobre la reciente ola de protestas cívicas que pueden servir tanto de inspiración como de advertencia, y analizará la creciente influencia de China en la región.
La discusión pública ‘Protestas Sociales en América Latina: causas y consecuencias’ se organizará en colaboración con la Fundación Fernando Henrique Cardoso y la Escuela de Derecho de la Fundación Getulio Vargas el 27 de marzo. ¡La inscripción a la discusión pública se abrirá el lunes 2 de marzo!
