Annual Conference of the Czech-German Discussion Forum: 1989-2019: AND WHAT NEXT?

On November 2nd, 2019, the Forum 2000 Foundation organized the Annual Conference of the Czech-German Discussion Forum carrying theme of „1989-2019: AND WHAT NEXT?“.

The panels discussed not only expectations and promises of 1989; other discussions were about economic transformation and its influence of society, development of democracy after 1989 or differences in value scale. The closing panel was focused on current development in the Czech Republic and Germany and on question whether the change of generation brought new ideals different from ideals of 1989.

The conference was held under auspices of Mr. Burkhard Jung, the Mayor of Leipzig.

The Annual Conference is financed by the Czech-German Future Fund.
