Vesna Pusić is a former Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, a founding member and leader of Croatia’s People’s Party – Liberal Democrats for 11 years. She was elected as a Member of the Croatian Parliament for six terms. In 2016, Ms. Pusić was the Republic of Croatia’s official candidate for the position of UN Secretary General and was awarded the Chevalier dans l’Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur award by the President of the French Republic the same year. Ms. Pusić is a Professor of Sociology and Political Theory at University of Zagreb and the author of five books and numerous scientific and professional articles.
