Támas Meszerics is a Member of the European Parliament and assistant professor in the political science department of the Central European University. He conducted research and gave lectures at the University of Leeds, University of Cambridge and Harvard University. He is a member of the Hungarian Political Science Association. From 1989 to 1995, he was a member of the Alliance of Free Democrats (SZDSZ). He obtained his MA degree in English and History at the Lóránd Eötvös Science University and earned two doctorates in contemporary history.
