Federal Government Commissioner for Disarmament and Arms Control, Director-General for International Order, the United Nations, and Arms Control, Federal Foreign Office, Germany. From 2013 to 2015, Ms. Baumann served in the Federal Chancellery in Berlin as the head of division for Security and Disarmament Policy, Bilateral Relations with the US; Canada; North, West, and South Europe; and Turkey. Before 2013, she was Head of Division, Nuclear Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-Proliferation in the Federal Foreign Office. Ms. Baumann has also worked for Parliamentary and Cabinet Affairs at the Federal Foreign Office in Germany and has also served as the deputy head of mission at the German Embassies in Cambodia and Malaysia. She is a graduate of the University of Bonn in Germany, where she obtained her law degree in 1992.
