Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger is a lawyer, twice the former Minister of Justice and was a member of the German Bundestag for 23 years. She is the Deputy Chairwoman of the Friedrich-Naumann Foundation for Freedom and Deputy Chairwoman of the Theodor Heuss Foundation. Since 2019, she has volunteered for the office of anti-Semitism commissioner for North Rhine-Westphalia and most recently, she was elected honorary constitutional judge in Bavaria. In 2017, her book Attitude is Strength (Haltung ist Stärke) was published, followed by Fear Eats Up Freedom (Angst Essen Freiheit auf, 2019). She received the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Order of Merit of the Free State of Bavaria, as well as several data protection awards.
