Natalya currently holds the position of a spokeswoman for Open Russia, initiative advocating democracy and human rights in Russia. The organization was founded by Russian democracy activist Mikhail Khodorkovsky. It describes itself as “a nationwide community platform designed to bring together all Russians interested in creating a better life for themselves and their children”.In 2017, Open Russia was listed as undesirable and its website was banned in Russia. Natalya has long been advocating for human rights and in 2016 she ran as an opposition candidate for parliament from St. Petersburg.
