Miriam Kornblith

Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, National Endowment for Democracy


Miriam Kornblith has been the Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the National Endowment for Democracy in Washington, D.C, since 2006. A Venezuelan sociologist and political scientist, Kornblith’s study of the contemporary Venezuelan political system encompasses constitutional reform, political institutions, political parties, and electoral processes. She developed most of her academic career as a professor and researcher at the Central University of Venezuela.
