María Corina Machado is the National Coordinator and a Founding Member of Vente Venezuela, the party of freedom and a center-right political organization. She was the Member of the National Assembly of Venezuela, elected with the highest number of votes among all the candidates for that electoral contest (2010-2015) and is one of the main opposition leaders in the country. Since 2017, she is a founding member of the SoyVenezuela platform, an alliance committed to the rescue of the Republic and democracy in Venezuela. In 2018, the BBC recognized her as one of the 100 most influential women in the world and, in 2019, the Liberal International honored Ms. Machado with its Prize for Freedom, for her struggle for freedom and human rights in Venezuela.
