Konstanty Gebert

Konstanty Gebert works as a reporter and columnist with Polish daily Gazeta Wyborcza. He was a Democratic opposition activist in the 1970s, and underground journalist in the 1980s. He co-founded the Polish Jewish intellectual monthly Midrasz. Gebert is also the author of eleven books on Poland’s round table negotiations of 1989, Yugoslav wars, Israeli history, and Torah. He has taught at Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and UC Berkeley and Grinnell College in USA. He graduated in psychology from Warsaw University.
