Karolina Wigura is a Member of the Board of Kultura Liberalna Foundation. She is also a sociologist, historian of ideas, a journalist, and an Assistant Professor at Warsaw University's Institute of Sociology. Ms. Wigura was Co-Director of the Polish Program at St. Antony’s College at Oxford University, entitled “Knowledge Bridges: Poland and the United Kingdom” and a visiting fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Berlin. Ms. Wigura published two books, Wina narodów. Przebaczenie jako strategia prowadzenia polityki (“The Guilt of Nations: Forgiveness as a Political Strategy”) and Wynalazek nowoczesnego serca. Filozoficzne źródła współczesnego myślenia o emocjach (“The Invention of Modern Heart: Philosophical Sources of Contemporary Thinking about Emotions”). Ms. Wigura published in the New York Times, TAZ, Gazeta Wyborcza and many other press outlets.
