Javier El-Hage is an attorney admitted to practice in the State of New York. He holds Masters degrees in Interna- tional Law from Columbia University School of Law, and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. From 2006-2008, El-Hage was constitutional law professor at the Universi- dad Privada de Santa Cruz-Bolivia, in which period he was invited by the Bolivian Constituent Assembly to provide expert testimony on international investment law and in- ternational human rights law. Upon conclusion of his LLM at Columbia Law School (‘09), and as chief legal officer of the New York-based Human Rights Foundation, El-Hage has taught legal courses and seminars as adjunct faculty at the Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar (based in Ecuador) and the Universidad Francisco Marroquín (in Guatemala). His research topics and areas of expertise include Inter- national Human Rights Law, International Criminal Law, International Democracy Law, Comparative Constitutional Law, and International Investment Law & Arbitration
