Jacques Rupnik is a Research Professor at the Center for International Studies (CERI) at SciencesPo in Paris, Professor at the College of Europe in Bruges and a member of the Forum 2000 Foundation Program Council. Mr. Rupnik has been a visiting professor at several European universities as well as at Harvard University and was Executive Director of the International Commission on the Balkans. He was a consultant to the European Commission and has focused on democratization and the European integration of East and Central European countries, nationalism and post-conflict reconciliation in the Balkans, publishing several books on these topics. Among his recent publications are; 1989 as a Political World Event (with an introduction by V. Havel), Géopolitique de la démocratisation (2014), and (ed.) Europe at the Crossroads: Democracy, Neighbourhoods, Migrations (Prague, Vaclav Havel Library, 2018). Mr. Rupnik is a member of the International Coalition for Democratic Renewal.
