Hugo Drochon is a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge and a historian of late nineteenth and twentieth century political thought, with interests in continental political thought, democratic theory, liberalism and political realism.  His current research focuses on elite theories of democracy – Mosca, Pareto, Michels and Ostrogorski – and the impact their thinking had on the development of democratic theory in America and Europe after WWII. He wrote Nietzsche’s Great Politics and Elites and Democracy.
