Lech Wałęsa and Zuzana Čaputová will attend the upcoming Forum 2000 Conference starting this Sunday in Prague.

The annual Forum 2000 Conference titled “Recovering the Promise of 1989” will begin this Sunday in Prague! Among others we will welcome former President of Poland and founder of Solidarity, Lech Wałęsa, and Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová as speakers of the Conference. Other participants include Yemeni Activist and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Tawakkol Karman; Archbishop of Constantinople -New Rome, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew; the legend of Soviet dissent and Vice-Chairman of the Israeli government, Natan Sharansky; the Sikyong of the Tibetan Government in exile, Lobsang Sangay; and Australian Political Scientist and Author of the book “The Life And Death Of Democracy”, John Kean. Furthermore, the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tomáš Petříček; the Mayor of Prague, Zdeněk Hřib; and Regional Coordinator of the Fridays for Future movement, Lucie Smolková, have confirmed their participation. The Conference will be held on October 13–15 in the Žofín Palace in Prague and other venues
