A Call for Solidarity with the People of Ukraine #StandWithUkraine

On February 26, the International Coalition for Democratic Renewal released a statement, strongly condemning the Russian military invasion. This war of aggression is an attack on the very fabric of a peaceful and rules-based international order. Ukraine now needs the support of the international community more than ever.

James Lamond: Putting Transatlantic Relations to the Test

The guest on the latest episode of #Forum2000online Chat was James Lamond, Director of the Democratic Resilience Program at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA). In coversation with Martin Ehl, Chief Analyst of Hospodářské noviny, he talked about the future of NATO and transatlantic relations.

Charles Edel: The Summit for Democracy, between controversy and hope

“The idea was that this is not going to be the United States talking about how wonderful and perfect its democracy is — we all know that’s not true — but rather a conversation amongst democratic societies for how we can aid each other, how we can help each other and, critically, how we can learn from each other," underlined Charles Edel in the episode of #Forum2000online Chat. Edel, the Australia Chair and a senior adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, spoke about the Summit for Democracy and other initiatives launched by Joe Biden’s administration.
