Registration for the 21st Forum 2000 Conference is Open!

Registration for the 21st Forum 2000 Conference was launched on August 1 and is open until September 29. As the capacity of venues is limited and some parts of the program are already fully booked, do not hesitate to register soon! The conference, entitled “Strengthening Democracy in Uncertain Times,” will be held in Prague on October 8 – 10. Participation is free of charge.

Festival of Democracy

Festival of Democracy, the accompanying program of the Forum 2000 Conference, will be held October 5 – 12. More than sixty public discussions, exhibitions, and other cultural or educational events will enrich the main topics of the conference. Non-profit organizations, universities and other partners take part in the Festival of Democracy, which will culminate on The Festival Day, October 9, at Václav Havel Square in Prague.

Forum 2000 Conference Communication Campaign has started

As a part of the preparations for this year's Forum 2000 Conference, we have launched a communication campaign via online media, radio, and television. The campaign includes brand new and slightly provocative visuals that will soon appear in the streets of Prague and other cities throughout the Czech Republic. We would like to thank our creative partner VCCP as well as the main media partner, Czech Television, and the media partners Economia, Denník N, Prague TV, Radio 1, Radio Free Europe, and Project Syndicate!

Latin American Panel + Venezuela

Once again, Democratic Solidarity will be a part of Forum 2000 Conference with topics related to the state of democracy in Latin America. One of the main panels covering this region is entitled: "Do Latin-Americans Distrust Their Institutions?" and will take place on October 9 in The Goethe Institute Prague. It will be attended by Luis Almagro, Secretary General of the Organization of American States, former Bolivian President Jorge Quiroga Ramírez, and Peruvian writer and journalist Jaime Bayly.

NGO Market 2018

As of now, we are already working on the next year's NGO Market, which will take place in Forum Karlín on April 11, 2018. We cordially invite all non-profit organizations from the Czech Republic and abroad, as well as all those interested in the non-profit sector, to take part. A rich complementary program will include a range of lectures, discussions, and workshops. Registration for the exhibitors will commence on Friday, December 1, 2017.
