Organizations

The organizations are non-profits, NGOs, cultural and educational institutions, civic initiatives and associations.

What kind of event can I contribute to the Festival?

You can prepare any event that adheres to the mission of the Festival anywhere in the Czech Republic or abroad. It might be a workshop, artistic performance, projection, lecture, debate or panel discussion. Do not forget to register your event by May 30, 2018 so that we can include it in the printed program.

You will also be able to present your activities during the Festival day on October 6, 2018 at the Republic Square in Prague 1 from approx. 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in rented stalls. Precise times will be confirmed. The market stalls are approx. 2x2m and they will be equipped with a table, 2 chairs, plug for a notebook, and a heater, in case of cold weather.

Rent for a single 2x2m stall is CZK 2200 (we are not registered to pay VAT).
These stalls have been reserved, if you submit the form you will be put on a wating list.

There are several big tents 3x3m available for rent for CZK 6000.

We are excited that we managed to ensure space in such a frequented location right in front of the entrance to the shopping center. As a result the capacity will be quite limited, so do not wait to register! The registration from is in Czech.

Thanks to the Linhart Foundation there will be a stage for a live program again. We are diligently working on its composition. You can look forward to live music and spoken performances!

Who can take part?

We welcome organizers like non-profits, NGOs, associations, civic initiatives, cultural venues, and educational and scientific institutions.

We also welcome CSR organizations and companies who care about democratic values and who want to support the Festival. More information on CSR and company partnerships is available here, or, you can email us at kristyna.klepackova@forum2000.cz.

How will we help you?

We will help promote your event in the Festival program, on our website, through social media, among Forum 2000 conference participants, and through our media partners. We will be happy to advise you on anything you may need. Basic information on event organization will be available in the Manual for Event Organization at the Festival of Democracy that will be published soon.

If you can’t find a suitable venue for your event in Prague, we will try to provide one of our partner conference rooms at the Austrian Cultural Forum, the American Center, the European House or other. Some of these venues are equipped with a projector, monitor, kitchen, equipment for interpreters, etc. Use is free of charge, but capacity is limited.

The Forum 2000 Foundation reserves the right to make the final selection of events for the Festival of Democracy.
