Phil Hutchinson

Phil Hutchinson is Principal of the Royal Military College of Science and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Cranfield University. He holds a BSc in Physics from the university of Durham and a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Newcastle. After the university he joined the Atomic Energy Research Establishment at Harwell, initially as a member of the Theoretical Physics Division and finally rose to be Head of the Engineering Sciences Division. He left Harwell in 1987 to Head the School of Mechanical Engineering at Cranfield Institute of Technology (now Cranfield University).
