Conference Report
We are glad to offer you for download the electronic version of the full report from the 14th annual Forum 2000 Conference, “The World We Want to Live In”, which was held in Prague, October 2010.
The Conference Report contains the thoughts and debates of nearly 100 past and present politicians, economists, philosophers, businessmen and other prominent figures from across the globe. The report is divided into 3 sections with complete transcripts of 16 selected panel discussions and conference speeches accompanied by pictures from the event. You can also learn about the delegates’ backgrounds and other Forum 2000 Foundation projects.
“The World We Want to Live In” section provides diverse perspectives on developments in the fields of democracy, urbanization and aesthetics, on the environment, the roles of Europe and Asia and the issues of poverty and social exclusion. The second part contains Business and Economy Panels focusing on values of responsibility, sustainability and transparency in business. The delegates discussed environmental friendly approaches, corruption and ethical norms and their influence on the behavior of companies. The Interfaith Dialogue panels examine religion from the perspectives of territory, globalization, the promotion of democracy and tolerance.
The Conference Report also lists all those panels and associated events that took place during the conference, but for reasons of space their transcripts could not be produced in the printed version. Transcripts and video recordings of some of them can be found on this website.
