Chief of Macroeconomic Strategies of ČSOB Bank and a former member of the National Economic Council (NERV), he was advisor to the late President Václav Havel and to the Minister of Finance (2004–2005). Mr. Sedláček lectures on Philosophy, Economics and the History of Economic Theories at Charles University. He is the author of numerous articles and a best-selling book “The Economics of Good and Evil.” He studied at Yale University and holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Economics from Charles University.
