Rector of the University Church of St. Savior in Prague and President of the Czech Christian Academy. He has lectured at various universities around the world since 1989 and has been involved in international efforts to promote dialogue and understanding between religions and cultures. In 1992, Pope John Paul II appointed him Advisor to the Pontifical Council for Dialogue with Non-Believers and in 2009, Pope Benedict XVI granted him the title of Monsignor – Honorary Prelate of His Holiness. In 2009 he received the “Truth and Justice” prize for his defense of human rights and justice.
