Jean-Guillaume de Tocqueville is a corporate lawyer and has been a partner with the Gide firm, a leading Paris based firm, since 1993. He studied political sciences and law in Paris and in the United States and was also admitted to the New York bar. He is currently active in projects promoting the heritage of Alexis de Tocqueville on democracy and human rights. He is also working on initiatives involving American philanthropy in Europe, in particular joint transatlantic projects in the field of philanthropy.
