Humberto Celli

Social democratic politician with a long trajectory in both Venezuela and in regional organizations. He was MP and Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies of Venezuela (1968-1993), Senator (1994-1998) and Chairman of the Democratic Action party. He was also Chairman of the Latin-American Parliament (1991 and 1996) and Vice-Chairman of its Executive Committee (1996 and 2005), and Venezuelan delegate to the World Parliamentary Union (1971-1991). Currently he is first Vice-Chairman of the Consultative Council of the Latin-American Parliament. Celli Gerbasi is the author of numerous political essays.
