Training Courses

Training courses are the pillar of the Forum 2000 Foundation’s educational activities. Courses organized in the Czech Republic deal with active civil participation, human rights, multiculturalism, handling conflicts and project leadership. Their main goal is to support young professionals and volunteers active in civil society in their countries and help develop it through their projects. The training courses normally last eight days and during this time the participants have the chance not only to gain new skills and knowledge, but also acquaint themselves with the culture and customs of participants from other countries. The courses encourage the establishment of long-term cooperation between the participants and the sending organizations and the creation of more collective projects.

The Forum 2000 Foundation also sends members of its team, co-workers, and volunteers to training courses of fellow foreign NGOs where they can gain new experiences and skills in areas important to a democratic society such as human rights, active European citizenship, or the fight against discrimination. Through this approach, they can familiarize themselves directly with the culture and conditions of their host countries.
