Cooperation of Visegrad NGOs

The aim of the project is to strengthen civil society in Central Europe by fostering cooperation among non-governmental organizations from the Visegrad Group countries and supporting their activities.  A series of meetings will take place throughout 2012 whereby representatives of Visegrad NGOs will identify common issues, assess current cooperation, and share experiences and best practices. Results of these meetings will be published in the final recommendations.
 
The project partners are the 1st Slovak Non-profit Service Center (Slovakia), the National Federation of Polish NGOs (Poland), the Nonprofit Information and Training Centre (NIOK) Foundation (Hungary), and the International Visegrad Fund which financially supports this project.

Recently, the situation of the non-profit sector has been characterized by a stronger need to use available resources efficiently and to search for alternative methods for securing the continued operation of non-governmental organizations.
