“I love the Forum and I hate the Forum. I love it because it is one place where I can just listen and learn, and hate it because it is always over and then the listening stops."
James Zogby, Founder and President of the Arab American Institute, 2007

Educational Programs

The main aim of the long term educational programs is strengthening democracy and civil society in countries in the Balkans, Middle Asia, Central & Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. These countries are still in the process of transforming into democracies. The program aims to aid them in stabilizing, diversifying, and professionalizing their political systems. This process demands a high level of citizen involvement.

Our projects enable long-term education and cooperation in various fields such as political and economical transformation, project management and freedom of speech. Our participants are young, capable leaders from the above-mentioned regions. They are mostly journalists, politicians, mid-level civil servants, and representatives from non-profit organizations. They will pass their acquired knowledge on to their fellow citizens in their respective countries and thus contribute to the country’s development.
