Projects
The Forum 2000 Conferences represent the main annual activity of the Forum 2000 Foundation. They have been held every October since 1997.
Besides conferences, Forum 2000 Foundation also prepares several educational and multidisciplinary projects.
The project Interfaith Dialogue is a platform for representatives of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and other religions where they can discuss up-to-date issues regarding relations among religions.
Launched in April 2005, the Shared Concern Initiative associate personalities who issue joint-statements addressing the most important problems and challenges of today's world with the view to promote principles of good governance, respect for human rights, and tolerance.
The project Exploring Water Patterns in the Middle East is divided into several parts. The first one focuses on research, the others on politics, economy and civil society. The aim of the project is to improve cooperation in the water sector in the Middle East region and to enhance the sharing of knowledge to improve stability and prosperity in the region.
The Educational Programs aim to promote democracy and civil society in emerging democracies and pre-transition countries. The target group is young people involved in different spheres, such as the non-profit sector, public administration, media etc.
Another project reinforcing the role of the civil society is the annual NGO market, where NGOs from the Czech Republic and abroad present their activities to the public, establish new partnerships, address potential sponsors and volunteers, and gain valuable know-how needed for successful NGO-management.
From 1997 to 2006, the project LTTC and NGO market were organized by the Students´ Forum 2000.
Since 2002, the Forum 2000 Foundation has held Round Tables that are focused on topical issues concerning all fields of political, social and cultural life.
