Organizations

The organizations are non-profits, NGOs, cultural and educational institutions, civic initiatives and clubs. 

With what event can you contribute to the Festival?

You can prepare any event that subscribes to the mission of the Festival anywhere in the Czech Republic or abroad. It might be a workshop, artistic performance, projection, lecture, debate or panel discussion. Its theme needs to be linked to the principal theme of the 21st annual Forum 2000 Conference, which is “Strengthening Democracy in Uncertain Times”. You can also present your activities during the Festival day on Oct 9, 2017 on Václav Havel Square between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. The space for a single organization is 200 x 200 cm and will be located in a shared tent. The space will include a table, two chairs, a socket for a notebook, and shared heating and lighting. The price for organizations is CZK 2000. We will be happy to provide more information at fedem@forum2000.cz.

Who can take part?

We welcome organizers like non-profits, NGOs, clubs, civic initiatives, cultural venues, and educational and scientific institutions.

We also welcome CSR organizations and companies who care about democratic values and who want to support the Festival. More information on CSR and company partnerships is available here, or we will be happy to provide more information at fedem@forum2000.cz.

How will we help you?

If you can’t find a suitable venue for your event, we will try to provide one of our partner conference rooms at the Austrian Cultural Forum, the American Center or the European House. Some of these venues are equipped with a projector, monitor, kitchen, equipment for interpreters, etc. Use is free of charge, but capacity is limited.

We will help promote your event in the Festival program, on our website, through social media, among Forum 2000 conference participants, and through our media partners. We will be happy to advise you on anything you may need. Basic information on event organization is available in the Manual for Event Organization at the Festival of Democracy.

Submission deadline for concepts of events organized during the Festival of Democracy expired on June 30, 2017. 

The Forum 2000 Foundation reserves the right to make the final selection of events for the Festival of Democracy.
