Continuing in the same vein as their previous educational programs aimed at democracy strengthening and civil society development in the region of South and East Europe, Balkan, Central Asia and the Caucasus, Forum 2000 Foundation will host the training course, “Youth in Conflicts – Training on Conflict Management”. The training course will be held on April 11 – 19, 2010 in Břežany, Czech Republic. The course is organised for NGOs workers from various countries from the target regions and will have a special focus on the role of young people in conflict resolution and the role of grass-roots initiatives led by young people. Thus, the training sessions will deal with conflict and conflict management, with the aim of providing basic education on the roots of conflict and conflict management strategies. A second, major element of the training will focus on the role of young people in particular in conflict resolution and on the role of grass-root initiatives led by young people.
