Workshop on EU – Central America relations

Forum 2000 Foundation, in cooperation with the civil association Latin Americans for Freedom (Spain) and Respekt Institut (Czech Republic), has co-organized a workshop "Análisis de la Situación en Centroamérica en el Marco del Acuerdo de Asociación con la Unión Europea", discussing the challenges and opportunities of the currently prepared Association Agreement between the European Union and Central America. The one-day event, held in Casa America in Madrid, Spain, on February 16, 2010, was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Spain and the Czech Republic, and diplomats, scholars and NGO representatives from Guatemala, Costa Rica, Salvador, Spain and the Czech Republic.
