Forum 2000 Bulletin, Issue II, 2009

We are pleased to present you a new issue of the Forum 2000 Bulletin, which contains summaries of our activities during the second half of 2009.
Last year, not only did, Forum 2000 host its annual conference on “Democracy and Freedom in a Multipolar World” but also a number of other interesting events. At the end of the Czech Presidency of the EU Council, the Forum 2000 Foundation took part in the organization of the “Holocaust Era Assets Conference”. In September, several Nobel Peace Prize Laureates and a number of other distinguished experts accepted our invitation to Prague, in order to discuss peace, democracy and human rights in Asia. In November, we organized a series of debates entitled “Freedom and Its Adversaries” to mark the 20th anniversary of the political changes in Czechoslovakia and the fall of the Iron Curtain.
In this bulletin, you will also find information about the projects which will be held this year. These include the upcoming NGO Market, to be held in Prague on April 16, a training course aimed at dealing with conflict management, as well as the 14th Forum 2000 conference, which will take place in October 2010.
