Added 11th February 2010

We are glad to offer you for download the full report from the international conference on Peace, Democracy and Human Rights in Asia held in September 2009. Within its almost 150 pages you can find delegates’ profiles, an executive summary, transcripts of all panel discussions and remarks, information about current Forum 2000 projects and a number of photos from the conference.

Among the participants who took part in the conference were Nobel Peace Prize Laureates His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Frederik Willem de Klerk and Jody Williams and other distinguished experts and activists from all over the world. Discussions focused on the implementation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with special emphasis on freedom of thought, conscience and religion; on protection of the cultural rights of religious and ethnic minorities including language, spiritual traditions and customs; and on the right to education as one of the most strongly contested in the field of minority rights.
